Everton stars warned about over-confidence by Romelu Lukaku ahead of FA Cup clash with Chelsea

ROMELU LUKAKU has warned Everton to beware a resurgent Chelsea this weekend.
The two sides meet in the FA Cup quarter finals at Goodison Park, just days after the Blues were dumped out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain.
Everton and Chelsea have already met twice in the Premier League this season, with the Toffees taking four points from the floundering champions.
A hat-trick from Steven Naismith saw Everton storm to a 3-1 home win back in September, while it took a 98th minute offside goal from John Terry to grab Chelsea a point in January’s 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Everton are yet to play since throwing away a two-goal lead against West Ham last weekend, and Lukaku has warned that they will need to be at their best to overcome a Chelsea side fighting for their only chance at silverware under Guus Hiddink.
He told Everton TV: “I think the Chelsea team from that moment [in September] is not the same Chelsea team as now.
“The players in the team are back scoring again. Diego Costa is scoring, Hazard is gaining momentum so it’s going to be a totally different game.
“In football, you should never compare one game to another. We will have to be better than them and sharper than them to win the game.
“It’s nice to play against a good side. For a player you want to play against those big teams.
“To me it doesn’t matter when, I just want to play against the big teams all the time.”
22-year-old Lukaku was sold by Chelsea to Everton for £28million in 2014 following a successful loan spell.

The Belgium international has helped himself to 59 goals in 116 appearances, and SunSport exclusively revealed this week that the Blues are looking to re-sign him this summer.
Manchester United are also interested, and former Red Devils star Louis Saha believes Lukaku would thrive at Old Trafford.
He explained: “I have to admit that I rated Lukaku highly when he was at Chelsea, when he was young. I could see he was not ready, but now he has performed really well at Everton.
“And definitely he will bring something to the United side because he is strong, he has got that presence to trouble the central defenders.

Andrei Kanchelskis comments on having record broken by Romelu Lukaku, sets Belgian new target

Andrei Kanchelskis wants Romelu Lukaku to hit 20 or more Premier League goals for Everton this season.
Romelu Lukaku celebrates his goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Everton and West Ham United at Goodison Park on March 05, 2016 in Liverpool, England.
Former Everton star Andrei Kanchelskis has told bwin.com that he is pleased to see striker Romelu Lukaku break his goal record for the Toffees.
Kanchelskis, now 47, joined Everton from Manchester United back in 1995, and hit a superb 16 goals in his first season with the club, but he was sold on to Fiorentina in January 1997.
The Ukrainian-Russian had long held the record, alongside striker Tony Cottee, for scoring the most goals for Everton in a Premier League campaign with 16.
However, that record was recently broken by striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian international has now hit 18 goals this season, and with ten games left this season, he has the chance to go far past 20 goals, and set a huge new record for the club.
Kanchelskis' joint-record stood for almost 20 years, and now he has commented on the fact that Lukaku has now surpassed his goal tally.
The former playmaker has told bwin.com that he is 'very pleased' to see Lukaku score so many goals, and believes Everton fans deserve to see such an impressive striker.
Kanchelskis also believes that Lukaku can go over 20 goals this season, before joking that his record remains more impressive because he was a midfielder, whilst Lukaku is a centre forward.
"Nobody likes to see their own record broken, but that’s what they’re there or and every season the standard of football rises, so you have to expect it," Kanchelskis. "I’m very pleased for Romelu, he’s a fantastic player and Everton deserve a great goal scorer like him."
"He has the ability to hit over 20 goals a season, so that should be his target this term and next. Finally, I’d like to point out that Lukaku is an out-and-out striker, so I’m still the top scoring midfielder! I loved my time at Everton. There was a really great atmosphere around the club and the fans were great with me, even though I came from Manchester!" he added.
